Christmas Time in New York City.

Trees dressed in their finest costume, beautifully decorated shop windows, skating rinks …New York is beautiful for Christmas!

It is a great time to visit the city! (Only if you have gloves, scarf and hat! Or rather stay warm at home!)

The Macy’s of 33th Street, the largest store in the world, decorated for Christmas

Last Tuesday we started this Christmas in New York by going to the rink in Bryant Park with a friend visiting the city. Yes readers! Even with my aversion for sport, I did ice skating and I did’t even fell! * So, I was a little achy the next day… But we had fun and that’s the main thing!

Saturday was the Santacon and and we could see dozens of Santa in the streets of the Big Apple (and also in the suburb near our home!). On that day many people dress up and go to parties from morning to night in the bars… Something that could traumatizes children in their path!

What’s great is seeing all these storefronts decorated, the shops full of Christmas decoration, to hear Christmas songs everywhere… Yes, I love Christmas time !

Storefront decorated in Hoboken.

In New York we can find several huge trees decorated. We have already seen the one at  Bryant Park and  Wall Street, but we still have to see the mythical tree at Rockefeller Center! (Yes yes, the one we saw in Home Alone !)

Wall Street’s Christmas tree.

Oh, and especially during the Christmas season there are new drinks at Starbucks! (This is the most important and I almost forget it: p) I  tested the Peppermint MochaFrappuccino and I fell in love with it! And our roommate made me taste the Eggnog Latte and it is not so bad ;)

Promised, I will took few pictures during our upcoming rides!
