This morning I went to the « Old German Bakery » which is located near our house. I never stepped in, but I must confess that I was tempted to eat a croissant made by Americans. And today it was Sunday, Brunch day, so it was the opportunity!
I entered the store that offers various pastries who look as good as each other … You see once again that I’m not voracious at all! I asked with my French accent « Three pains au chocolat and one croissant ». Yes, they call them the same way as in France even if the bakery is supposed to be German …
So I went home with my little bag containing the precious pastries. I say yes « precious » considering the price of them… A croissant and three chocolate croissants for $ 12 (about 10 €)!
It was expensive but delicious! The croissant had all of a butter croissant that you can find in a French bakery. The chocolate croissants were a little heavier than the French one but were still very good too. We will repeat the operation, but not every day because of the price!
